Satnam studied Economics and Law at Cambridge University, where he also served a sabbatical year as elected Deputy President of the Students Union. He qualified in a large City law firm, before moving to Brent Council where he was Head of Litigation.
He established his own firm in 1994, focussing on human rights and local government litigation, particularly education and SEN law. He has recently taken over as Chair of the Education Law Association. He was also a state school governor for many years.
He recently served as an Ombudsman with the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Johanna has a degree in modern languages from Cambridge University and completed her GDL at City University. Johanna qualified as a solicitor and worked as a corporate lawyer at global law firm Eversheds. Johanna also has a diploma in International Business.
In addition to her legal career, Johanna worked in marketing for clients such as IBM, Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard and others.
She has volunteered in an international school. Johanna is fluent in French and German and has experience providing one-to-one tuition in French, German and English to primary and secondary school students.

Sarah has completed her law conversion GDL exams with a Distinction. First Class History degree from Cambridge University. She previously worked at The Remedy Project, an anti-trafficking organisation, and has experience doing legal research on LAPSO and legal aid public funding cuts. Currently qualifying as a solicitor through the SQE route.

She also has a master’s degree in Public International Law from Leiden University. Eda has previously worked in the charity/NGO sector, on human rights specific matters. Eda also has experience working on group claims in a claimant law firm.

Thea is training for the Bar following a 15 year career in the Civil Service working on a range of domestic, international and environmental policies. She has a BA in English from Bristol University, an MA in International Relations from Newcastle University at distinction, and completed her law conversion PG Dip with distinction. He completed successful internships in two London-based organisations working in turn on accountability for crimes against humanity in Myanmar, and child welfare in the UK. Previously, she has worked as a visiting law lecturer at City University. She works pro bono on employment cases and has conducted public law research for a trade union. Jessica has received scholarships from Lincoln’s Inn for her law studies and will resume her Bar Course next year. She hopes to pursue a career as a barrister in due course.
