Satnam Virdi

Principal Solicitor

Satnam studied Economics and Law at Cambridge University, where he also served a sabbatical year as elected Deputy President of the Students Union. He qualified in a large City law firm, before moving to Brent Council where he was Head of Litigation.

He established his own firm in 1994, focussing on human rights and local government litigation, particularly education and SEN law. He has recently taken over as Chair of the Education Law Association. He was also a state school governor for many years.

He recently served as an Ombudsman with the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Johanna Williams

Office Manager

Johanna has a degree in modern languages from Cambridge University and completed her GDL at City University. Johanna qualified as a solicitor and worked as a corporate lawyer at global law firm Eversheds. Johanna also has a diploma in International Business.

In addition to her legal career, Johanna worked in marketing for clients such as IBM, Cisco Systems, Hewlett Packard and others.

She has volunteered in an international school. Johanna is fluent in French and German and has experience providing one-to-one tuition in French, German and English to primary and secondary school students.

Anoushka Kohli

Senior Paralegal

Anoushka has a First Class Degree in Spanish and International Relations with Distinction in Spoken Spanish, and completion of GDL in May 2022 with Distinction. Experience working in immigration law, as a volunteer for Latin American Women’s Aid, and as a student advisor in the Family Law Clinic. Will have completed her LLM LPC in October 2024.​

Sarah Davidson

Senior Paralegal

Sarah has completed her law conversion GDL exams with a Distinction. First Class History degree from Cambridge University. She previously worked at The Remedy Project, an anti-trafficking organisation, and has experience doing legal research on LAPSO and legal aid public funding cuts. Currently qualifying as a solicitor through the SQE route. ​

Martha Glynn

Senior Paralegal

Martha has completed her law conversion GDL with a Distinction after a History degree from Cambridge University. Volunteers at a Trade Union and has experience of working in a school environment. Taking Bar Exams.​​

James Dix

Senior Paralegal

James completed his law degree at the University of Oxford. James is a Lord Denning Scholar at Lincoln’s Inn and won the Falcon Chambers Prize for the highest mark in the civil advocacy bar exams. James also volunteers with the Cleaners Union in the Employment Tribunal.​

Grace Kirby

Paralegal

Grace completed her GDL last summer and has a first-class degree from Bristol. She has experience from Carter-Ruck in libel and international privacy law, and volunteers for the Hackney Night Shelter. Taking Bar Exams.​

Eda Gulsen

Paralegal

Eda has a degree in International Relations and Politics from the University of Sheffield. She also completed her GDL there. She also has a master’s degree in Public International Law from Leiden University. Eda has previously worked in the charity/NGO sector, on human rights specific matters. Eda also has experience working on group claims in a claimant law firm.​

Thea Edwards

Paralegal

Thea is training for the Bar following a 15 year career in the Civil Service working on a range of domestic, international and environmental policies. She has a BA in English from Bristol University, an MA in International Relations from Newcastle University at distinction, and completed her law conversion PG Dip with distinction. She is currently taking the Bar Course and aims to practice in public law.​​

Harry Flatau

Paralegal

Harry has a degree in Politics from Birmingham University and a master’s degree in Legal and Political Theory from UCL. He previously worked as a consultant in the renewable energy sector and has recently completed his GDL.

Maia Cohen

Paralegal

Maia has an undergraduate degree in Theology from the University of Cambridge and completed her GDL and BVS with Distinction at City Law School. She worked part-time at the Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law and has previous pro-bono experience representing parents in school exclusion hearings and working at an employment law clinic.

Sahil Sama

Paralegal

Sahil Sama has a first-class degree in English from the University of Cambridge and completed his GDL from the University of Law. Last year, he successfully completed his SQE examinations on the first attempt, scoring very highly in both exams. He has experience in a corporate firm and also taught English in a South Korean school.
